Contrast & Contradiction 

 

I love pictures that contain contrasts. Contrasts in color, lighting & composition. Pictures that contain contradiction, irony, or that surprises or even shocks the viewer a little with unexpected subject combinations. Pictures that show the world in a slightly different way than what we are used to... a tad out of the box so to speak.

For example, the contrast of soft, sensual lace against the rough wood of a park bench. The bride relaxing in a secluded park for a moment of quiet reflection before the time arrives to put on her wedding gown and walk down the isle towards the man she loves.
